The Lake District section of the Coast to Coast path is traditionally divided into seven sub-sections, each representing one day’s walk through this most rugged and dramatic part of the trail.
This is the most physically demanding stretch of the Coast to Coast — higher, wilder, and more remote than the Yorkshire Dales, Mowbray, or North York Moors. It is also, without doubt, the most picturesque.
